Our Faculty of Music (formerly Trinity College of Music) has over 125 years of history in music education in India. We are now once again offering a summer academy in Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru and now Hyderabad.

This is your opportunity to be taught by specialist music teachers from London which can lead to a Music Certificate in Pedagogy and the chance to study a semester at Trinity Laban's Faculty of Music in Greenwich, London.  

Mumbai

Specialist course for Music Teachers: Preparing for the ATCL
SATURDAY 13 MAY – SUNDAY 14 MAY (10.5 hours of tuition)

Costs: र5000

This course will offer:
• Specialist training with music teaching staff with Trinity Laban's world class faculty
• A certificate of attendance
• Study of latest best teaching practice

 Specialist Course For Piano Accompaniment

Friday 26th May (9am-1pm), Saturday 27th May (9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm) and Sunday 28th May (9am-1pm)

Costs: र6000 for active participants (all four sessions) or र500 for observers (per session)

This course will offer:
• Classwork with invited instrumentalists and singers
• Techniques for efficient and productive rehearsals at all levels
• Professional approaches to faster learning/sight-reading skills
• Certificate of attendance

• The opportunity to develop your practical skills, including technique, interpretation, practicing and chamber music

MONDAY 15 MAY – SATURDAY 20 MAY (39 hours tuition)
Costs: र10,500 earlybird (for bookings before 24 April), र12,000 after 24 April, र500 for observers (per day)

Teachers

This course offers a unique opportunity to enhance your teaching skills through teaching masterclasses. Piano teaching masterclasses will be taken by Karl Lutchmayer and strings teaching masterclasses by Andrew Sherwood.The course content will include:

  • Teaching techniques/exercises
  • Teaching interpretation
  • Repertoire choice for students
  • Listening skills
  • Useful reading

Students

This course offers a unique opportunity for pianists and string players to take part in masterclasses given by internationally renowned musicians Karl Lutchmayer and Andrew Sherwood. Piano teaching masterclasses will be taken by Karl Lutchmayer and strings teaching masterclasses by Andrew Sherwood.The course will enable students to:

  • Receive a 'public' 45-minute lesson   
  • Learn from and observe other students' lessons
  • Enhance listening skills

Hyderabad

Workshops/Masterclasses For Piano And Strings

Our Faculty of Music (formerly Trinity College of Music) has over 125 years of history in music education in India. We are now offering the opportunity to participate in workshops run by Karl Lutchmayer and Andrew Sherwood, international concert artists and professors at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, to improve musical skills, including interpretation, technique and performance style. 

These sessions will be in the format of a masterclass, where all participants will have the opportunity to:

  • perform and be given advice by the teacher in front of the group
  • Teaching interpretation
  • work with international concert artists Karl Lutchmayer (piano) and Andrew Sherwood (strings)
  • learn not only from their direct interaction with the teacher but also through observing the lessons of their peers
  • improve their playing
  • learn skills which can be helpful to those appearing for exams and for the forthcoming Hyderabad piano and string music festival/competition
  • perform in a concert on the final evening of the course
