Junior Trinity’s home is in King Charles Court, in the historic grounds of the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich.

The state of the art facilities include over seventy practice and teaching rooms, and many intimate performance spaces including the Peacock Room where weekly lunchtime concerts take place. Junior Trinity students benefit from the information resources, music materials and recordings available at The Jerwood Library of the Performing Arts with its full lending services of books, sheet music and scores.

The Library offers students and parents a quiet study area and the use of one hundred reader places including workstations with audio-visual equipment, and computers with music processing and aural training software.

Local Sights and Amenities

There is a wealth of opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, fitness and relaxation in the Greenwich area. Historic attractions include the Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory often featuring special exhibitions and events. Greenwich Park stretches up to Blackheath and is a beautiful area for walking and relaxation. For ‘shopaholics’ there are the markets in Greenwich offering crafts, bric-a-brac, antiques and clothing. Canary Wharf is just a ten-minute journey on Docklands Light Railway, and has three shopping malls with over 200 shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Finally, the Laban building at the Faculty of Dance, was awarded the prestigious Stirling Architecture Prize for its groundbreaking home in Deptford, a ten-minute walk from our Faculty of Music building.
