Bite Size Pieces
Dance Alumni Performance Platform
Bite Size Pieces is an exciting new initiative giving dance alumni the opportunity to share their work at a performance platform. There are a series of informal Bite Size Pieces on Wednesday evenings throughout the year, for both students and alumni to share their work and gain peer feedback.
Transitions Reception 2019
In June 2019, graduates from Transitions Dance Company joined us for a reception event before the company marked the end of their tour with a special performance of works choreographed by Hetain Patel, Marina Collard and Karole Armitage.
Art of Movement Studio Alumni
We have also welcomed back dance alumni who attended the Chelsea College of Physical Education and, as part of their specialism in dance, spent a year studying at what was then the Art of Movement Studio in Addlestone, Surrey. They watched a performance by Boundless, Trinity Laban’s creative dance group for people aged 60+ and observed as our dance students rehearsed pieces by Wayne McGregor and Uday Shankar for their Historical Project performances.
Trinity College of Music Alumni June 2019
In June 2019, alum Chris Cox organised a reunion for students of Trinity College of Music. Here he shares his thoughts on a great event.
Class of 1999 - Dance
In July 2019 we were delighted to welcome back dance alumni who graduated in 1999. They had organised a reunion to celebrate 20 years since they graduated and as part of the day we hosted them for a tour of Laurie Grove, where they had studied, and of the Laban building Creekside.
In 2018/19 we hosted two meet-ups for Composition alumni. These are open to all composition alumni regardless of what they are doing now and is a great opportunity to share experiences and challenges and to develop a peer support network that can help explore creative lives and consider how to advance ambitions.
Look out for future dates.
