Summer Schools 2023

Thanks to the generous support of the families of Evangeline Dobson Douglas and Victoria Worsfold Griffiths, we are able to offer bursaries to cover the full cost, or 50% of the cost, for How Movement Works, and Dance Summer School.

Victoria Worsfold Griffiths Bursary

1 x bursary covering the course cost for 1 person to attend Dance Summer School

1 x  bursary covering 50% of the course cost for 1 person to attend Dance Summer School.

 

How Movement Works 2023

1 x bursary covering the course cost for 1 person to attend How Movement Works

2 x  bursaries covering 50% of the course cost for 1 person to attend How Movement Works.

 

Award application criteria

Trinity Laban will award the bursaries to six dance teachers/ practicing artists to attend How Movement Works / Dance Summer School who, in the opinion of the awarding panel, meet the following criteria:

The successful applicants for the bursary places should be:

  • be a practicing artists or working / training as a dance teacher in UK schools, youth or community settings
  • demonstrate an interest in and commitment to contemporary dance practice
  • provide a statement of financial need
  • provide a strong and coherent rationale as to how attendance at the Trinity Laban How Movement Works / Dance Summer School would further their professional development.

In addition, the successful applicants will be expected to provide a short report by 1 September following completion of the intensive, explaining how attendance at How Movement Works / Dance Summer School has supported their professional development.
