A graduate of the BA (Hons) Dance programme, Maurice was later selected by Kirsten Dehlholm, award-winning artistic director of Hotel Pro Forma (DK), to be mentored by her as part of an international programme for artists. His work has been programmed in curated festivals in England, Albania, Ireland, the United States, and Brazil. His artistic practice has been supported by regional and national funding bodies including Arts Council England and the Arts Council of Ireland. He won a Dance on the Radio Award (UK) in 2017. He was commissioned by Science Gallery International to make an exhibit on trauma. The outcome of that commission, Hysteria (video, 2016), was named Official Selection at Tirana International Film Festival (Albania), it was installed for six months at University of São Paulo (Brazil) and Science Gallery Dublin (Republic of Ireland), it was projected onto Trinity College Dublin, and screened as part of São Carlos Videodance Festival (Brazil).
