Our Musical Theatre Open Days and Taster Days include a range of activities that will help you gain insight into the vibrant Musical Theatre Department. Sign up to our Musical Theatre Audition Taster Workshop and prepare for this years audition season with confidence.

Open Days 

Our Open Days allow you to gain insight into all aspects of student life at the vibrant Musical Theatre Department. The Open Days typically involve: 

  • Workshops in singing and acting

  • Discussions with the Musical Theatre teaching faculty and current students 

  • Details about the BA (Hons) and ISP Foundation programmes

  • Q&A session with the programme leaders

Friday 13 December Open Day Schedule 

Visitors will be split into two groups (please see the schedule below). If you have a preference to be in the morning or the afternoon sessions, you will be able to request this when you receive the booking form - we will endeavour to accommodate your request where possible. Visitors are allowed to bring up to two guests. Please note that guests won't be able to participate in the workshops. We look forward to welcoming you on the day!

Group 1 (morning session)

Monday 28 October Audition Preparation Workshop Schedule 

  • Attendees will be split into two groups to enable everyone to participate in all of the workshops, so your final schedule may contain minor changes – however, the content of the workshops and the timings are confirmed. 
  • Please prepare a monologue and a song as these may be needed for the workshops. These should each be no longer than 2 minutes as per our audition guidelines.
  • It is also recommended that you wear comfy clothes that you would be comfortable moving around in.
  • You are welcome to bring up to two guests, but please note that guests won't be able to participate in the workshops.

09.30 – 10.45 – Workshop 1 (Your Singing Audition)

11.00 – 12.15 – Workshop 2 (Preparing for Acting Audition)

12.15 – 13.00 – Lunch

13.00 – 14.15 – Workshop 3 (Preparing a Monologue)

14:30 – 15:45 – Workshop 4 (The Dance Audition)

15:45 – 16:30 – Auditioning for Musical Theatre: Question & Answer session
