Aleksandar Ilić graduated in 2012, after completing an MA in Choreography. Before studying at Trinity Laban, he was a First Soloist at the National Theatre in Belgrade, Serbia. His choreographic work has been shown at the National Theatre in Belgrade, BITEF Theatre, Madlenianum Opera & Theatre, the Cultural Centre Rex, National Theatre Sarajevo, Festival Velenje and the Belgrade Dance Festival, amongst others. Aleksandar is Acting Director of Belgrade Culture Centre and Artistic Director of BELEF, the Belgrade Summer Festival. He is a Professor at the Belgrade Dance Institute, President of Professional Serbian Ballet Association, Director of Dance Magazine Stepart, a member of RESEO and a founder of the Belgrade Dance Institute. He has also written two books of poetry.
