I decided to study at Trinity Laban to get a Master’s degree. I wanted something new; new ideas, new people, new challenges, new experiences. Trinity Laban certainly gave me all of these and now, as a lecturer, I hope I offer the same to my students.

Biography

Katy Chambers graduated from the MSc in Dance Science in 2014. Previously she has worked extensively in dance education in the private sector and London based vocational training settings. Following graduation from Trinity Laban, she joined the Faculty of Education at the Royal Academy of Dance as Lecturer in Dance Science. Katy also works at Trinity Laban as a Dance Specialist Physiotherapist. Katy is also a guest lecturer at several UK universities, lecturing in biomechanics, injury prevention and approaches to injury management and rehabilitation for dance and sport. Katy presented her MSc research at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) annual conference in Pittsburgh in 2015 and will be presenting research from the Dance for Lifelong Wellbeing project as well as sitting on a specialist panel in Hong Kong at the 2016 IADMS conference.
