Roman Baca shared his work in progress with more than 30 Fulbright Scholars at a special event hosted by Trinity Laban in collaboration with the US-UK Fulbright Commission on Saturday 20 January 2018.

Roman Baca is a classical ballet dancer who served in Fallujah, Iraq as a United States Marine. As the recipient of the 2017 Fulbright Trinity Laban Scholar Award, Mr Baca is currently pursuing an MFA in Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. While at Trinity Laban he is choreographing a work to Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, collaborating with dancers, musicians, artists, and military veterans. He is also conducting research into other organizations that are connecting military veterans and the performing arts.
The Fulbright-Trinity Laban Award in Music & Dance offers US citizens the opportunity to pursue a one-year Master’s degree (or the first year of a longer Master’s or PhD degree program) in music or dance at Trinity Laban in London.
