Biography
Iole was born in Avellino, Italy in 1994. Italian-born Iole graduated in Contemporary Dance from the National Academy of Dance of Rome in 2018 before completing a Masters in Dance Improvisation in collaboration with the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia and the Museum of Contemporary Arts MAXXI in 2019.
Iole has danced for international companies and choreographers including Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni, Salvo Lombardo, Andonis Foniadakis, Helder Seabra, Kristina Alleyne and Anton Lachky. She was granted a scholarship by Maqamat Dance Theatre (Lebanon) to attend the Takween Intensive Training Programme, Ravello Festival and BIPOD Dance Festival. Iole also attended East Point West- Interdisciplinary Festival of Embodiment, Malaysia on scholarship. Iole's first work Re-Body has been performed in several festivals and residences including Inteatro.
She is delighted to be a Leverhulme Arts Scholar for her studies.
