New Programme Leader for Dance Department
Fri 31 March 2023We are delighted to announce that Hilary Stainsby will be joining us as the new Programme Leader for the MA/MFA Dance Performance programmes.
Hilary brings an impressive 14 years of experience as a member of the Postgraduate Faculty at London Contemporary Dance School, as well as an extensive career as a performer and educator.
As an accomplished dancer, Hilary spent six years teaching and performing with Wayne McGregor | Random Dance, working in many countries around the world including USA, Australia, Korea, China, Italy, Germany, France and Uzbekistan.
She has delivered education programmes across the UK to a wide variety of schools and community settings, including a 12-year stint as the Creative and Rehearsal Director for Shift Youth Dance Company.
Throughout her colourful career, she has worked with many influential artists and choreographers including Joe Moran, Maresa von Stockert and Yael Flexer, and danced for the ground-breaking Jerwood Bank Project with Siobhan Davies.
Hilary is looking forward to bringing her talents in fostering creativity, reflexive thinking, experimentation and individuality to this new role.
