Studying part-time at a conservatoire requires a different kind of commitment and engagement than studying part-time at a university. To make the most of their time at Trinity Laban, students are advised that if they are considering part-time study, any part-time work needs to be flexible since there may be times during their studies when it is advisable for them to be engaged in activities at Trinity Laban for more than the scheduled class and one-to-one teaching hours. In particular, it is not possible (i.e. before induction-week orchestra and choir auditions etc.) to identify all the performance opportunities and classes that will be on offer throughout the year. Students work with their Head of Department and Programme Leader to ensure that a timetable can be arranged whereby their work and Trinity Laban studies are well balanced and practicable.
