Biography
Christine’s experience of teaching Creative Musicianship and Piano at Junior Trinity led to her also delivering courses for the Music Education department. Here she was working with teachers and orchestral musicians to support assimilation of creative techniques within the context of the Music Education diploma.
Christine’s piano teaching continued at Goldsmiths, University of London and included developing Classroom Keyboard Skills with postgraduate students on the PGCE course. She was awarded the MMus degree (Performance and Related Studies) after part-time study at Goldsmiths. A two-year appointment followed as Module Leader for the MA (Music Education) degree at Trinity College of Music.
Christine continues to teach piano at Junior Trinity and James Allen’s Girls’ School, Dulwich. She is also organist at Morden College, Blackheath.
Future plans include developing her interest in the application of music in a variety of creative ways, to engage and benefit those who suffer cognitive problems due to brain damage and Alzheimer’s disease.
