Biography

Ashley Beauchamp is a pianist and conductor originally from Sussex, now based in London. He first studied with Eugene Asti at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and completed his studies on the opera course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has since gone on to work on productions for the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne, Garsington, Nevill Holt, Waterperry, Music Theatre Wales and Blackheath Halls. Passionate about musical education, Ashley regularly runs workshops and projects across the UK introducing thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds to opera every year. He has a longstanding relationship with the learning and participation departments of ROH and Glyndebourne, running countless participatory projects and working extensively with their respective youth opera companies and the former ROH Thurrock Community Chorus.

Ashley is Head of Music for Waterperry Opera Festival, Head of Music for the Nevill Holt Opera 2022 and 2023 Season, Musical Director of Thames Opera Company, a visiting musical director at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and a pianist at the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Ashley is the duo-partner of Internationally renowned flautist, Stephen Clark, and the two have performed regularly together across the UK and USA.
