Biography

Harriet was a scholarship student at Trinity College of Music (now Trinity Laban), studying with eminent violinist, Gina McCormack. Further study with Tomotada Soh at the Royal Academy of Music and Aitzol Iturriagagoitia in Leipzig  at the Hochschule für Musik led to acclaimed solo and chamber performances at major concert venues in the UK such as the Royal Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, National Theatre and Wigmore Hall.

Harriet is Co-Principal 2nd Violin with the Scottish Ballet Orchestra and also works with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Birmingham Ballet, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra and Camerata Alma Viva with whom she performed on BBC Radio 3 In Tune. Harriet was also a member of Southbank Sinfonia (2011).  She has collaborated with artists that include Jacqui Dankworth, Dionne Warwick, the Belcea Quartet, Ian Bostridge, and Jason Donovan, in wide ranging projects that include the Newbury Jazz Festival and the European tour of ‘The War of the Worlds’.

In addition to performing Harriet enjoys teaching the violin. She taught for 10 years with Surrey County Arts and most recently at the Musik Hug Schule in Zurich.

She has been presented with the Surrey County Council Award for Exceptional Contributions and Achievements in Music.
