Biography
Philip works freelance as a recitalist, accompanist and pianist for coaching, session work, and rehearsals. He is a conductor and rehearsal director for opera groups, choirs and orchestras, and a composer and musical adviser. Philip Colman has acted as pianist, songwriter and arranger for television programmes, as an arranger for the Royal Opera House, and as a pianist for the National Film Theatre, Ballet Rambert, RADA and London Contemporary Dance Theatre.
Qualifications and Educational Background
After attending Royal Grammar School, Worchester, Philip Colman became a student at Trinity College of Music, where he studied piano, oboe, conducting and composition.
Teaching Experience
Philip has taught at Avery Hill Training College, Watford School of Music and Trinity College of Music Junior and Senior Departments, where he teaches both academic and performing studies.
