Toria Banks

Biography

Toria Banks has been teaching acting at Trinity Laban since 2007, and has been Resident Opera Director since 2010. She is an experienced teacher and workshop leader who is also Senior Tutor on the Acting Foundation course at Arts Educational Schools. She works as a freelance director and dramaturg and has recently worked at the Tron (Glasgow), Theatre Royal (Margate) and Royal Exchange (Manchester). She is co-director of Beehive with the director and movement director John Wright (previously of Trestle and Told by An Idiot), a company which works with other companies to make collaboratively written theatre that is both playful and thoughtful.
