More from TDC:

We’re committed to provide opportunities for students & audiences to engage with us & learn about TDC, and to extending our education work.

To offer a greater insight into our repertory and creative processes we have developed a comprehensive programme of participatory events including workshops, curtain-raisers and post-show talks and for the first time this year we are delighted to offer online videos which allow you to connect with us and our work before visit you for a performance.

Online videos coming soon!

Watch our company dancers in the studio, sharing information about our repertory. See them present short sections of movement phrases for you and your students to learn, and offer you ways to develop your own versions.

These can be a great way to engage your students with our work before we visit you for a workshop or create a curtain raiser with you. Even if we aren’t able to visit you for a workshop this year we’d still love to see your versions of our repertory. Don’t forget to tag us into your videos on Instagram: @transitionsdc. We want to see your creations!

A typical dance workshops offer a combination of a contemporary dance technique class/warm up, a chance to learn some of the company’s repertory and some creative tasks for the participants to develop their own choreography. Workshops with a stronger focus on creative work or dance technique are available on request.

1 ½ hours. They usually take place the afternoon/evening the day before, or the morning after a performance. 2 hour workshops are available on request.

Curtain Raisers

We can also able offer the option of our dancers creating a Curtain Raiser performance with your students the day before a performance which would be performed before the Transitions Dance Company performance the following day.

Why not pre-prepare your students by teaching some lead-in sessions based on our videos above?

Please get in touch to discuss or book any of the above. We are also happy to talk with you about more bespoke projects, developing new ideas and projects in partnership with you.
