Humans have long been fascinated with the tapestry of over 3,000 stars visible in the night sky, and the legends they have inspired. With the Royal Observatory Greenwich right on our doorstep, the starting point for this Animate project will come from using ancient star maps as graphic scores and exploring the stories behind constellations to produce new epic improvised works. Each improvisation happens only once in the history of the universe!

As part of CoLab – Trinity Laban’s annual festival of creativity and innovation – you’ll collaborate with dancers and musicians from Trinity Laban across 4 days, guided by expert tutors to develop your own ideas. Then you’ll have the opportunity to share your creations with hundreds of people with a performance at Southbank Centre’s iconic Queen Elizabeth Hall!
