Biography
After completing the BA (Hons) Dance Theatre programme at Trinity Laban my career began in dance organisations, including the Education and Community team at Trinity Laban. I am now working across the art from as Head of Creative Learning at Southbank, Centre developing creative learning programmes in music, visual arts, literature, spoke word, dance and performance. In 2019 I launched a new Arts and Wellbeing strategy at Southbank Centre focused on reducing social isolation and loneliness, and this has become a central part of my work. I am delighted to be the Module Leader and Lecturer in Arts and Health (Dance) on the BSc Dance Science and MSc/MFA Dance Science at Trinity Laban.
I am passionate about the arts having the power to make transformative change in people’s lives. As well as being something to enjoy and enhance our day to day lives, I believe the arts are essential to our development, sense of self, and health and wellbeing from childhood to older age. My career has been spent in roles focusing on learning and participation roles, working on projects and programmes that give greater access to high quality arts experiences to a broader range of people.
